Your Mind and Your Access to Your Craved Future
Most of us think that we think with just our mind from our brain in our head. We usually have the basic assumption that thinking should be ordered, logical (by our own measures) and is not to be trusted if it comes with emotion or in response to some form of sentient intelligence. We regard our thoughts as uniquely ours as they direct us to do and be in the world. Yet all those thoughts are based on what happened in the past, they are a historical record of what we were taught and what we experienced. The evaluation of new experiences is based on what we were taught to believe, think etc. It’s a convoluted ‘what came first’ and we don’t think about the origin of our beliefs about behaviors; we don’t think about what are the thoughts that guide our lives.
Where do you think all those thoughts actually came from? Did all that you heard from family and friends from infancy onwards plant any of those thoughts in your head? Did all teachings that your church or school provided to you, did those become thoughts in your head?
Remember the song ‘You have to be carefully taught” from the musical ‘South Pacific’? This song explored how children are taught to fear, to hate, to feel separate from anyone who looks different than their own family. This song was mostly about fearing, hating people who look differently than ourselves. This capacity of our family to train our minds to believe these teachings occurs for many types of information as well.
Test yourself. Pay attention to what occurs via emotion or physical sentience when you…come across a person of another faith/color skin; are offered food that is not your regular food; hear about a cultural practice that is not part of your culture? Is there an initial reaction? What was the first thought that popped up? What was the emotion? What was the physical sentience that you experienced?
New experiences help us shift many of our entrained beliefs. Many of us can remember a time when meeting a person of another color skin/culture was new. How did you react then? How do you react now? We have experienced that we can change that historical belief with other thoughts.
I want to offer you another tool to open your mind to new thoughts, your thoughts. They are the Templates of the Language of Creation. There are 7 Craving Templates and 2 Observing Templates in the Language of Creation. The Observing Templates work with every Craving Template. The Observing Template gives us time to take a step back and access how our thoughts, our emotions, our physical sentience is responding to this new craving language. The observing becomes the location for the first step towards manifesting our Craving.
You language your craved future through phrases that you insert into the structure of a Template. My experience is that I often have not languaged this craving before or before with this level of intuitive detail. It’s not a objective or goal statement. Often your craving phrases arise as you are writing your Creation Exercise. In opening up to what words pop into your head, or what imagery arises in your mind or what sentience you experience…it is then that you access a larger mind of yours that accesses the larger field of your spirit/soul. Your future you…the you that you came here to be…can start to emerge as you write your Creation Exercises.
All your craving phrases have to be life-enhancing or life-generating. Your observing phrases can be negative or positive, whatever you are opening up to in the moment.
Let’s take a walk through the Templates with one common Craving…happiness. How do we examine/pull apart what happiness looks like, feels like for our Self.
Template 1: Craving happiness create…
Template 2: Craving being happy creates being…

With each of your Creation Exercises based on a Template, you will write 13 life-enhancing phrases. After writing all 7 Craving Templates, you will have 91 life-enhancing phrases describing for yourself what happiness is for you. Deeper, wider, higher – we like to talk about this around what we learn and identify what we want to crave.
We encourage you to join us in small groups to share your experiences and to benefit from the support of others who are with you in common discovery. It is with others in the field that we are supported through the unfolding of old historic ideas and our expansion into the possibilities of whom we crave to be.
