What is calling you? by Claudia Jones

Lately I have found myself returning to some of the themes we have been exploring this year.

They remain important and alive for me, yet I find myself wondering what is moving now.

We have spent some months talking about authenticity, self-trust, authority, sovereignty, and becoming ourselves. Those conversations continue to unfold because so many of us are still exploring “who we are in the matter.” The process feels less like finding an answer and more like coming into recognition through experience. Through what draws us. Through what touches us. Through what continues to ask for our attention.

The Year of the Fire Horse has brought me back to this again and again. Resonance. Fascination. Curiosity. The things that seem to carry energy for each of us respectively. The things we return to without effort. The places where something in us comes alive.

I find there is wisdom in paying attention to those places.

What is it about certain people, ideas, dreams, animals, landscapes, conversations, or experiences that stay with us? What is it that captures our imagination, stirs our hearts, or leaves us feeling more ourselves than we did before? What touches us in a way that gives us OurSelves?

These are showing up now as far more than interests or preferences. They reveal something essential about our nature.

Snake has also continued to be on my mind this month. We often associate Snake with transformation, but what captures my attention in a deeper way right now is the shedding. There comes a point when a skin has carried us as far as it can. The skin is not wrong. It simply belongs to a version of life that has already given us what it came to give.

I wonder if many of us are standing in places like that right now.

Perhaps this shows up less through dramatic changes or life-altering revelations and more through a growing sensitivity to what generates life in us and what does not. A growing awareness of what deepens our connection and what leaves us feeling distant from ourselves.

Perhaps this is one of the gifts of Fire Horse. Along with movement and vitality comes an amplification of aliveness itself. Wherever we feel deeply engaged, fascinated, moved, inspired, or called, there is information.

Horse has been that way for me.

Dreams have been that way for me.

The experience that nothing is separate has been that way for me.

Each one reveals something. It isn’t about arriving at an answer. Something within me responds. Something recognizes itself in the encounter.

Maybe that is one way life introduces us to ourselves.

Through relationship.

Through resonance.

Through the things that continue to generate life within us.

As we move through this month, I am paying attention to those places. What continues to call? What continues to fascinate? What continues to feel meaningful, alive, and worthy of my attention?

There may, indeed, be wisdom there.

And these living experiences are helping each of us recognize who we are in the matter, and our unique place within the larger tapestry of life.

You are invited to join the conversation and share what the Year of the Fire Horse has brought in for you. Our next call will be on Saturday, June 6th, at 9:00 AM PDT.
