The Power of the Word
by Liz Geyer
This morning, I was writing a Creation Exercise…a Craving Being template to be exact. I have written many, many exercises in the last six years, and have learned this lesson I will make note of again, many times. It fascinates me that every time I learn the lesson, it does not seem to integrate into my being. I am talking at least ten times if not many more that I can count! I forgot to put the word ‘Being’ in the exercise! The word “Being” is what I have come to know as my compass to signal the direction my being is taking that is always so different from “The crowd”.
As I was writing, I noticed such tension in finding the right phrases that resonated. It was a struggle all the way through until the last embodies in the C3, before I realized I hadn’t used the word ‘being’ after each phrase. Interesting that, during the writing of the C3 embodiment, the phrase that came to me just ‘clicked’ quickly. The tension was lifted, and the language flowed easily. I also realized that the language in the template did not have the ‘punch’ that usually happens when I am writing a craving being exercise. I was feeling bothered by this until the very end, but I couldn’t quell the unease as I wrote. Once I realized that ‘being’ wasn’t in the equation of the exercise, I went back to check my ‘word math’ so to speak.
It was fascinating that when I went to write the word ‘being’, I had to tweak some pronouns, yet no longer words. As soon as I tweaked the phrases and placed the word ‘being’ in, the field smoothed out, and the power of the exercise came online like a brilliant neon sign! Then I realized that we should not underestimate the power of pronouns and short words such as ‘of’, ‘the’, ‘a’, ‘an’. These small words can make the difference between packing a punch, and a phrase remaining lifeless. Here is an example from the template I wrote today: The first draft of this part of the exercise read, “sustains and maintains what being an alchemical magi threader is for me is dancing new threads of existence with glee! The new and improved version read, “sustains and maintains what being an alchemical magi threader is for me is being in the dancing of the new threads of existence with glee!” In my mind, adding ‘being in the dancing” was so much more powerful! It took on an otherworldly energy, as well as became more fun, as I saw the magi dancing, swirling the energy around with a magical gusto! It was so much richer the second way, and the language really gave Creation a different, richer landscape to view and work with.
I just now caught a mistake in the C2 recursion. Let’s see what happens when we change the language to make it flow better. The original version read, “Craving what being an alchemical magi threader is for me is interlacing time, space, form, and formless creates”, The second version read, “Craving what being an alchemical magi threader is for me being is the interweaving of time, space, form, and formless creates. Now…correcting the second version, it will read, “Craving what being an alchemical magi threader is for me is being the interweaving of time, space, form, and formless creates…” These three different ways of writing really do shift the energetic structure of what we read, and feel as we read the exercise!
The word ‘being’, when left out, takes away some of the magic, in my opinion…of this particular exercise. We don’t use being in every template, obviously because each template has its own equations. But what value it is when we see how powerful a word ‘being’ is if we leave it out when the intentional equation was meant for ‘Being’ to be created, sustained and maintained, and embodied!
Note to self: Always, always, always…go back and reread before sending a template out into the universe. ‘Being’ is important…it is crucial to further and more deeply getting to know our “Selves”! ‘Being’ is our compass, directing us to which directions the flow of language is guiding us to take. I love becoming this new Human “Being”. Paying attention to my being more mindfully is the name of the game right now. Whom and what is your “being” guiding you to do, be, and have right now?

How interesting is this….I recently was writing a Craving What template and left out is for me is …felt enveloped in confusion the whole time I was writing it…..I decided to go back and find the template outline and recognized what was occurring. After a good belly laugh, I wrote out REDO at the bottom of the page! Later that day I started completely over and the clarity of words was even more clear and insightful than the first go round!!! Thanks for the beautiful share!
