For All that Dwell Beneath the Skies by Elektra Porzel
‘For all that dwell beneath the skies’ is the first phrase of a doxology that we sang for years in my old Unitarian Universalist church. Then I loved the message and the sense of community and peace that it brought to me. Today it seems almost presentient as we experience unity being spoken in every land in every tongue.
For all the dwell beneath the skies
Let faith and hope with love arise
Let beauty, truth and good be sung
From every land by every tongue.
It is a hopeful prayer particularly in a world that feels like the extremes are pulling us apart. Yet, have you noticed how much unity is rising? Look at the people that protest something Trump did or the Supreme Court or another government did; crowds of people come out and scream for the moderate inclusionary point where all are cared for. Look to all the people who decided to run for office not for personal glory but to make sure that the least of us are cared for and supported by our local and national governments. Look to all those who take small steps to protect our environment whether it is recycling, or teaching their children how to eat healthy and be in love with nature. All the small steps and big steps anchor the reality of Unity here on earth.
How does this impact each of us? Do we bow our heads and cry in defeat or do we take action? Maybe we vote, maybe we volunteer, maybe we listen to the other side for commonality points, and maybe we write our cravings and observing every day to help us anchor ourselves in alignment with Creation and with our larger Being. This is a critical time to care for ourselves. We can get caught in old historical patterns if we don’t write our observings. We can react to certain phrases or words falling into life-defeating thinking loops, if we don’t write our template 3 & 4 and create new definitions for ourselves. Write daily. Write to discover more of how you want the world to be. Write to discover your own truths, your own aligned actions. By walking in alignment with your truths, you walk in alignment with your original design, with your larger Being and with Creation. All is shifting from separation logic to unity living. Support yourself and others by being in unity within yourself and with Creation. Write some creation exercises daily.
